PC Henry, 36, had been called to an incident outside Marks and Spencer in George Street at 7.18am in
which two other people were also stabbed.
Chief Constable Gillian Parker said he had reported for duty 15 minutes before his death.
"He was a dedicated member of the service. His dedication to duty cost him his life," she
added
I live in Luton and its sad to see yet another life taken having fallen victim to knife crime. The news of this policemans death has rocked the town, as bad a name as Luton has we would never have expected something like this to happen in this small town. Thoughts and prayers are with the family. Rest In Peace.
Rest In Peace
Too many of our brave young men and women are dying in the line of duty. Thank God for the bravery of our services. Rest in Peace PC Henry. May your family take strength from our wishes and know that we support your family with everything we can. God Bless. xxxx
